Have you started working out yet? Are you so confused by all the information out there or are you just putting things off? Are you going to get started tomorrow or next year? Just let me know so I can put it on the calendar for you. You do know that you should get started working out on a regular basis as soon as possible and every day that you push it off will only lead to you not starting until next year. But just think about where you would be today if you had started working out a year ago today. Thinking about it isn?t going to give you the ripped abs your dreaming of but I guarantee that you will be one step closer if you start working out today.
Of course, it is important that you begin with a good knowledge of your goal and what is going to get you to this goal. You need to know what will bring you the results that you desire along with discerning what is just a bunch of jibberish. No matter if you are hoping to build muscle so you and improve your performance at sports or for the asthetic benefits of having a healthier, better looking body, it is important that you know a few truths about diet and bodybuiding.
Why is having a good working knowledge of body building so important? Because the purpose of bodybuilding can not be achieved at once. This is a whole process, a path, and for many people it is even a lifestyle. Once upon a time I could not even imagine that working out would become a part of my life. I had no interest in it at all. It just wasn?t me. I never thought I would have ripped abs. I thought I would never be great, fit and attractive.
Bodybuilding has become almost like a hobby for me. One that has given me great rewards with a body that I am proud of today. I didn?t know everything that I know today about diet and building muscles though. It was learned over a long period of time and during that time I learned what I know from personal experience. I saw what worked and what didn?t. I understand now how my body works and my body shows the results of this knowledge. I wasted a lot of time and I hope that you will take advantage of what I have learned and take the shortcuts that I missed along the way.
Now, you might think that getting a ripped set of abs is all about working out hard all the time but it is not all about pumping iron. Diet plays a big role in building muscle. Perhaps bigger than you might imagine! After all, our muscles are a part of our body and they need the right food and proper rest to grow, like a small child. Your muscles grow when they are fed the proper amounts of fat, carbs and protein. Your muscles need all of these elements if you hope to find success in building bigger, stronger muscles.
If you are a little wide around the middle and you get bummed out because you are alway picked last in gym class then the reason is probably because of your diet. Chances are that you are eating too many carbohydrates. This and this alone is what makes you fat.
But, should you avoid carbs altogether as is suggested often by many experts? Will this keep the fat of or help you to lose fat? Well, you do know that your body needs carbohydrates, right? Carbs are the source of energy for our bodies and they are used also to feed your brain, feed muscles and to create liver glycogen.
Glycogen is a form of stored energy and without carbs there is no liver glycogen and no food for your muscles. One thing to note that has recently been proven to be true is that water is actually the best form of energy for your brain.
At the moments I won?t get into a rant about what water does exactly and how it helps with the supply of energy to your body more efficiently than carbs but you will find that when you are drinking the proper amounts of water your body?s need for the high carbs that you might be used to is decreased.
So we conclude: consuming of extra carbohydrates is not necessary when you begining, and therefore, there will be no accumulation of fat. Here you have a little basic nutritional secret when you first start bodybuilding. How many of secrets of bodybuilding are still waiting for you!
